I purchased the Fallout Bundle on Steam a few months ago and want to take advantage of the mods.

I hate PC gaming with the keyboard, so Im trying to use my controller.

I bought and tried the USB toggle made by Sony and its so laggy and has a mind of its own.

It doesnt work. Ive seen some people use DS4, others not but directly plugging in.

Im on Win10 and I just plugged it in and it works fine.

Report Save level 1 2 years ago Some games work natively with a PS4 controller, fallout 4 is one of them.

If, for whatever reason, you want to play another game that doesnt support DS4, then you will need DS4Windows, free download, open it and connect your controller, then just leave it running when you start up the game.

But you shouldnt need to do this for Fallout 4.

Report Save level 1 2 years ago I use a free program called InputMapper that basically disguises the DS4 as a Xbox controller (Which seems more widely used in pc games as controller options) and allows you to custom map any input for any button or axis.

Example being if you wanted down d-pad on square for some reason you could.) hope this helped edit Has to be wired with usb cable though.

What it does is makes your PC think the signals coming in from your DS4 are from an Xbox360One controller so it ensures full compatibility for any game that supports controller.
